Early Fall at Erin McKenna’s Bakery Disney Springs Gluten Free Vegan
Ready for a tour of Erin McKenna’s last summer early fall options?
We stopped in mid September on a hot day, and both chocolate and vanilla soft serve options were available, which was a treat. In addition, they already had pumpkin spice cupcakes available, which were flying off the shelves! Everyone was ready to get their first taste of gluten free dairy free fall! In addition to the usual cupcake and brownie delights, you can see an adorable cross hatch pie design cupcake with a berry topping and a wonderfully fun chocolate chip cupcake with a cookie topper! That may be my favorite.
On the top shelf were a variety of sandwich cookies, and so far, the chocolate chip sandwhich cookie with a mock cream cheese frosting is the best! Though each I have sampled has been delightful, there is something wonderful about both texture and flavor and this one is a hit among the non gluten free dairy free members in the family as well.
As we moved along to the counter, there are even more treats lined up including the doughnuts, the sweet baked breads, pineapple upside downcake and more. Of these, I was not overly impressed with the cinnamon rolls or the doughnuts in the past, but their brownie cupcake is quite good, especially the mint and or mocha varieties. I may be a bit pickier as I bake quite a bit at home, and can make tastier cupcakes, but I am always impressed with the soft serve, brownies, cookies, and the specialty items that they keep coming up with! On a hot day like the one we just experienced, it was wonderful to stop in and receive these items served nice and cold, perfect to help us get them back to the hotel before they melt in the sun! Next up I’ll give some more photos and reviews of 4 treats we sampled from this selection. If you try the pumpkin, I’d love to hear about it!
